Creating Healthy Choices
At MIA we promote healthy eating habits and an active lifestyle from a young age. Children are exposed to and encouraged to try new foods to establish good eating habits that will carry into their adulthood. We give children hands-on experiences where they can be actively involved in food preparation. Our morning snack always includes organic vegetables, fruits, and/or grains. If you choose to purchase a hot lunch, all food is prepared fresh, either on campus or from a local restaurant. Our on-campus chef, Mr. Yukio Shintaku, prepares lunches with healthy, fresh ingredients and are always homemade.
