The Joy of Learning

Children have a strong interest in the world we live in and are curious to learn new things.   The Montessori cultural education helps answer many of the questions children have in a concrete way. For example, butterflies are something children see often and are very familiar with, but what do they really know about this beautiful insect?  When the tools for learning more about a familiar thing, such as the butterfly, are placed in the classroom, children are eager to know more because it relates to their life.  With the freedom of choice in the classroom, children are selecting work of their true interest.  In turn, children develop a love of learning and a yearning to learn more.
